The threat grows stronger as each day passes. Yet most of our heroes, most of the guilds who fight to protect our homes are busy.

Inside a box.

In this box is a virtual world, one made of images made of squares. It is a small world, one made for learning. They made it too fun. They say once you get a taste of it you can’t help going back for more. One researcher has even suggested it creates an addiction. SABA, Super Adventure Box Addiction. Maybe they can’t help themselves. Maybe we will need to learn to fight for ourselves.

Or maybe…just maybe, we will all be forced to live in one of these boxes. Safe from the horrors of this world. Safe from what our heroes, could not, no, would not save us from.

Nay! We fight. Every man, woman, and child take arms. We will not let our world fall to darkness. Our heroes will return to us soon. But if they are to have somewhere to return to we must fight with all that we have.

Enjoy the stroll down memory lane. And remember on May 1^st Tyria will still be there waiting to be saved. I don’t know about anyone else but I’ve been addicted to SAB since it came out.

On a note more personal to the GW2RP community I would like to say a fond farewell to our resident event compiler, Marzipanic. Marzi is leaving us due to real life doing what real life does. Don’t you just wish you could get yourself lost inside a video game and ignore the world? Your contributions to GW2RP will be greatly missed Marzi. I’m sure I speak for the whole community when I say, goodbye and good luck out there.

The Spring Moot is being held to the east of Hoelbrak near the shrine of the Raven in Wayfarer’s Foothills overlooked by the massive carvings of Raven, Bear, Snow Leopard, and Wolf.

The festivities begin at 19:00 with a song from the talented Ylva Varohundr. Be sure to show up early to grab your first pint and get a good seat for this. Stick around afterwards for the beginning of the Nest Building Game.

What is the Nest Building Game you ask? Every person there is invited to wear two twigs and a trinket. The object of the game is to finish the day with more than anyone else. How? Follow Raven’s example and outwit someone for one, or perhaps you’d rather challenge them to a brawl. Be inventive, or just plain sneaky. At the end the two with the most twigs and trinkets are declared mates for the season. And though it’s all in good fun the crowd will be rowdy, who knows what they may suggest. The game will end at 20:30 when everyone will be asked to start counting how much they’ve collected. Skritt are reminded to ask before taking any shinies off a person’s body as they may be attached.

That isn’t the end of the festivities though! If the game isn’t your sort of thing the traditional moot activities will be available as well.

Brewmaster Broegan will be on hand with his freshest kegs of ale for all to enjoy. He will also be presiding over regular drinking competitions. All participants are being asked to put in a twig or trinket for the prize. Humans are advised not to attempt the competition on a full stomach as Broegan’s Ale is some of the strongest brewed in all the Shiverpeaks.

Vesta Meretricum will run eating contests. Haunches will be placed in front of each participant and at the signal they must eat every bit of meat in front of them as fast as they can. Whoever gets there first will win a twig or trinket from each participant.

And finally, Mani Moonsavant will be available to touch up old tattoo work and do new work. Sylvari are warned that the ink may cause adverse reactions to the area around the tattooing.

Even if you don’t take part in the games there will be plenty of drinks, tales, and food for all. So wherever you are in Tyria, from Rata Sum to Ebonhawke make sure you’re there this Saturday, March 16^th at 19:00 to 21:00 GMT.
