On behalf of the Ebonhawke Tourist Board, I condemn these filthy lies! Ebonhawke is peachy pie. Safe enough to bring your granny along for an afternoon cuppa tea, I assure! Nor shall we stand idle against such accusations of racism. Captain Fletch is merely very particular about the Elonian, handwoven rugs in the barracks and would prefer to avoid a hair-shedding incident. What some may call terrorist attacks, we here in the fair city simply call an act of passion. It's romantic, we promise... Honestly, if anything The Vigil is racist. Yes, that's right! Those houses haven't been obliterated with bombs. No, don't be silly. Some people just can't appreciate modern cultural artistic endeavours...

The chapter has spent the previous week fighting off the local ogre that around the fortress of Ebonhawke. Raiding routes were disrupted and Kraals were razed to the ground after siege. There was also the disturbing revelation that the ogres may be eating passers by.

Bad ass shoulder shot!

The chapter decides what to do with the Kraal, now the ogres have scurried away.

But it was not all doom and gloom! On Tuesday, the chapter took the night before camp move off and had a Mad King Day costume party at Ebonhawke Inn! Many of the Vanguard also showed up to join the festivities, drinking, and subsequent costume competition.

Glorious gathering of costumed crusaders!

Today, the chapter has taken camp at the camp surrounding Summit Peak (nobody has yet pointed out the redundant name). The chapter must now battle their greatest foe of all....delegating tents.

Once the chapter has slain this foe, it will move on to the secondary objective: Separatists

On Saturday, Claw Warband was called to reinforce a beleaguered Iron Legion detachment, falling under friendly fire no thanks to the darkness of the night, Claw Warband was shocked to find a Vigil Patrol, belonging to none other than the Ashen Chapter. Falling under fire from a Separatist ambush, with the Ashen Chapters support, Claw Warband managed to drive back the Humans, only to find themselves attack from an Ogre force. Separatists joining forces with Charr and Vigil, managed to drive them back, coming to a decisive victory when the Ogre Chieftain was slain at the hands of two Charr soldiers.

Great fun role playing with you guys, You've got a great military RP. Hope we come across you again in the future!

Time has past and as the winter winds rolled down from the Shiverpeaks, the Chapter thrust ever further Into the former human controlled lands of Ascalon.

Inquest, Branded, Opposers to the Peace Treaty and even cultists from the White Mantle arrayed themselves before the Chapter and sought to further their own needs and Interests across the region. Day after day, the men and women of the Vigil solved right from wrong and paved the way for peace In the region, even if only for a short time.

The ultimate threat was clear however, the Shatterer once again patrolled the branded skies and caused a threat to all, and so the Chapter arrayed to battle the beast.

Screenshot heavy from this point onwards.

Even with the world on the edge of oblivion, two elder dragons poised to smash against each other in a colossal battle, but here in Ascalon things go much the same as they have since the Peace Treaty was signed.

In the aftermath of their failed battle against the Shatterer, the Chapter were deployed further north into Ascalon and the region known as the Iron Marches. Life here s tough, even for the charr who live here constantly, but with the rifts appearing across Ascalon and now giant creatures made of magical energy running around, the world has certainly become crazier.

Below this point will be the meat of the post, and screenshot heavy as usual. And as usual, will be behind a spoiler tag Incase you're not interested in reading it!

After four years I never know what to write for these OOC bits, but we're still alive, still recruiting, still enjoying pouring through the world of Guild Wars 2. If you read through all that, I appreciate it, and hope you enjoyed it, and don't want your ten minutes back. Because you can't, I've spent them already :/

After boldly crossing swords with the Flame Legion shaman, the Ashen Chapter continued ever onward into Fireheart Rise, the very battleground between the Pact's High Legion allies, and the traitors of the Flame Legion. A lengthy joint-operation to pacify the region ensues, pitching the valiant troops of the Ashen Chapter against the vastly powerful Flame Legion magic, challenging the hardened dragon-slayers at every turn.

Through hard battle and hostile, scorched environments, the Ashen soldiers trudge through the ashen wasteland (hah, see what I did?), until the tips of their swords are all pointed firmly at the heart of the Flame Legion cancer, Hrangmer itself.
The Chapter wavers as they hold the Gates of Flames against a veritable onslaught, but they never break. Veterans that have seen Zhaitan and Mordremoth fall stand firm against the ever-more desperate assaults on their lines while strike teams penetrate ever deeper into the heart of the Citadel of Flame. Not all survive, but the Pact and Legion assault is a success.

After their travails, the Chapter is given a much needed period of leave during which the players finally had some time to play Mass Effect: Andromeda without having to think about attending or running those annoyingly frequent RP events we do. Finally, I could devote my time to seducing those hot Bioware aliens, y'know?

Anyway, with leave over, the soldiery is once more mustered to Fort Marriner in Lion's Arch, awaiting their next orders. But the world hasn't been standing still... the Fang of the Serpent in Hoelbrak has been cracked, and there is turmoil in Kryta. Where will they go next? Find out next time in another episode of Lord of the Hobbit: Andromeda 40.000.

DO YOU LIKE ROLEPLAY?
I bloody hope so, because why the hell would you be here otherwise?
We're still active, with at least three to four weekly events hosted in the evening, set abroad in campaigns and combat tours that give you an actual feeling of what it means to be deployed in a hot, dusty hellhole for a few months at a time.
We're always looking for new and returning players, or hardened RP veterans looking to try out something new. We're not for everyone, but we do offer a one-of-a-kind experience.

Feel free to visit us and say hi on our website!

Kisses,
Your favourite Himalayan salt miner,

Hey folks. I come to you all today to announce the fourth of what we like to call, Recruitment weeks. A week where each day, we of the Chapter are IC in a city and seek to spend the time recruiting new bodies for the war effort against the elder dragons. Given the success of the one these in the past, and that we've just come from pause in our current tour, this seemed like the perfect time to give it a shot.

We'll be following the same method we used as before, Including a group remaining at the Centerhouse in the city we are visiting at all times to direct questions/potential recruits, etc. The below is our schedule, and where you can find us each day. We'll be there from 7:30PM BST each day until around midnight BST.

Monday the 22nd, Hoelbrak: Vigil Billet, top level of the city.
Spoiler: Show

Tuesday 23rd, The Grove. Vigil Shelter, Middle level of the city.

Either way, we look forward to seeing you all around the cities and for some enjoyable interactions.

This is a mild bump to say we'll be in Hoelbrak tonight, and we promise to try not drink all the fine norn ale whilst we are there.

It's also an edit to note, we've changed the weekend schedule around and added in a slot in Ebonhawke, since it is a Capital city in its own regards afterall. #GoAscalon.

This long week of recruitment is finally over. I'd like to thank everyone who came out and Interacted with us, and to the people in the major citites whose own RP we gatecrashed with our numbers. You were all very polite and welcoming to us, and it's very much appreciated.

We've gained a staggering number of new applicants, which considering the games age and lack of content at the moment ( By which I mean inbetween episodes, there's still plenty of stuff to do!), is absolutely incredible. It's great to see the community so alive and vibrant all this time after launch.

So from myself and Tach, Thank you for RPing with us over this past week, and we hope you had as much fun as we did.
